[.]. The only drawback is the expensive sand paper replacements. Works great. I've had this sander a couple of years now. It's small, light, comfortable and easy to handle and get into tight spaces. to get 6" round discs in bulk and trace and cut them yourself.
I have only used this for a short time. I will update my review over time as I get more experience with this tool. It would not work well for large areas, or removing large amounts of material. Fortunately, since I only use this for small areas, I won't go through a lot of paper.This is NOT a heavy duty sander. I have been using it to get the small areas that my large 6' random orbital cannot reach. This is a good little sander. It works well for rounded surfaces due to it's soft pad.My one complaint is the sandpaper replacement pads are pricey. Look elsewhere for your primary sander.
but you can not get replacement front nose plate which does not last long. do not buy it you will be not happy [gene] the sander works good. now the sander is worthless you can;t use it.
Too pricey for what you get. If you're looking to do a lot of sanding than invest in a more durable sander. They don't last and fail quickly all around the removable diamond and are more expensive. I wasn't rough with this thing either.-Don't buy the name brand sanding pads. Worked decent until after I finished the chairs the thing broke. I used this to refinish a dining room set. 3 thin plastic pieces hold the sander to the body and they won't hold up to extended use. 1 sheets work just fine.-The detail sanding pieces are a good idea, but these fail pretty quickly as the plastic velcro melts off rendering them useless (the sandpaper stays stationary because the pieces won't grip) This is after about 10 min of use.Gel pads don't really add anything but price.Have to get another sander to finish.
Corner sanding doesn't work well. Better off getting a Dewalt orbital and hand sanding what you cant reach. for large tasks this mouse in under powered. Sand paper can end up costing alot more.
